DeAngelo Williams
DeAngelo Chondon Williams is an American former football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on April 25 1983, in Wynne, Arkansas. Williams played college football for the Memphis Tigers and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played for the Panthers for nine seasons, until his release in the 2014 offseason. He then played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2015 to 2016. During his college career, Williams rushed for a school-record 6,026 yards, which ranks sixth in NCAA history. In the NFL, he was known for his dual role in Carolina alongside Jonathan Stewart. Williams was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023.
