T.J. Lavin, whose full name is Thomas Joseph Lavin, is an American BMX cyclist and television personality. He was born on December 7, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Lavin is best known for his role as the host of MTV's reality competition series "The Challenge" since its eleventh season. He is also a former X Games gold medalist and a professional BMX dirt jumper with multiple medals in the X-Games. Lavin was included in the USA BMX Hall of Fame in 2022.

He is married to Roxanne Siordia, a personal trainer, pilates instructor, nutritionist, and blogger. They got married on November 2, 2012, and have a daughter named Raquel, whom Lavin formally adopted. Lavin is also known for his music career, having released an album called "LAVS the First SET" and a single called "Soldier," which was a tribute to his friend Stephen Murray. Lavin has also appeared in an episode of MTV's "Cribs." In 2010, Lavin was involved in a serious bike accident that left him in a coma for several days. He was able to make a full recovery and return home after a month.
